Erin Barisano
Dr. Erin Barisano is the Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Orange, CA. She spent the first 20 years of her Catholic school career in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles working as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent. Additionally, she has served as a part-time faculty member in Catholic school leadership programs at Loyola Marymount University and Boston College. Erin is a proud product of Catholic education from elementary to graduate school. She attended the University of Notre Dame, Mount St. Mary’s University, Los Angeles, and Loyola Marymount University. She has presented at educational conferences across the country in which she has shared her research and experiences in Catholic school leadership, with a focus on spiritual leadership. Dr. Erin enjoys leading retreats and serving on numerous boards and committees to help further the mission and scope of Catholic education. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Katie Everett
Katie Everett is the Executive Director of the Lynch Foundation. She joined in 1997 and was the first staff person hired for the foundation. Thus, Katie has seen the Foundation grow from $40 million to $150 million. She has overseen the investment of nearly $200 million in support of over 375 social change organizations, including some of the earliest seed investments in Teach for America, Partners in Health, and The Phoenix. A leader in education philanthropy, Katie has guided The Lynch Foundation through several nationally recognized investments in urban school systems. Katie led the establishment of The Lynch Leadership Academy, a national model for building world-class urban school leaders. She also was a leader in The Lynch Early Education Initiative, an effort that serves over 140 early childhood classrooms in Boston’s Catholic schools and the Boston Schoolyards Initiative, one of the city’s most successful public-private partnerships that restored over 80 school playgrounds. Katie served as a Founding Board Member of the Sontag Prize in Urban Education and is currently a Board Member of i2 Learning’s Boston Chapter. Katie served on the Board of the Inner-City Scholarship Fund for six years and was the Board Chair of the Eliot Innovation School for five years. She is also an active member of the Catholic School Philanthropy Working Group; the Archdiocese of Boston’s Catholic Council; the Boston Catholic Schools Support Network’s Advisory Committee; Providence College’s School of Education and Social Work Advisory Council; and the Malta Pilgrimage Foundation’s Special Advisor Group. In 2012, the Boston Business Journal honored her as one of 40 Under 40 innovators and leaders in the City of Boston, and in 2014/15 she served on Governor Baker’s Education Transition Team. Katie graduated from Notre Dame Academy and received her Bachelor’s degree from Boston College. She completed Executive Programs at the Stanford University School of Business & the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She lives in the South End neighborhood of Boston with her husband Greg and enjoys spending time with her two college-aged children.

Jennifer Henry
Jennifer has a successful track-record building businesses and nonprofit organizations in K-12 and higher education. She is currently a co-founder and chief of strategy at New Uni, focused on empowering universities to meet the rapidly growing global demand for high-quality, affordable higher education. Prior to New Uni, she was the senior vice president of workforce engagement at 2U and the senior vice president of career services at Trilogy Education Services. She has also held senior roles at Pahara Institute and New Leaders, and was the co-founder and executive director of the Academy for Urban School Leadership in Chicago— one of the country’s first urban teacher residency programs. Jennifer started her career as an award-winning high school history teacher. Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a master of business administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Jennifer is a member of the Aspen Global Leaders Network and serves on the Board of the National Equity Project. She lives in Oakland with her husband, a charter school network leader. They have two children in college.

Preston Kendall
Preston Kendall is president of Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep in Waukegan, IL. He was part of the leadership team that founded the original Cristo Rey school in 1996: Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago. As its vice-president, he filled the responsibilities of CFO and Director of Cristo Rey’s innovative Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP). In 2004 he left to become the first full-time employee of the Cristo Rey Network, formed to replicate the school model, and made possible by generous grants from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Cassin Educational Initiative Foundation. After helping open the first 19 network schools across the U.S., Kendall left the network to be part of the founding team of its 20th school, Christ the King Jesuit High School on Chicago’s west side.

Kent Hickey
Director of Leadership Formation
Kent Hickey is the Director of Leadership Formation at ILEE and plays a lead role in seminar moderating, curating seminar reading texts, and shaping programming and pedagogy. Matt Barmore
Matt recently retired after 41 years in Catholic schools. He began his career at St. Ignatius in San Francisco as a teacher (math & English) and coach (basketball). After 15 years at SI, Matt moved with his family to Seattle to serve as principal of Seattle Prep. During his 26 years at Prep, he served as the principal (twice for a total of 12 years), teacher, basketball coach, and Director of Adult Faith Formation. In addition, Matt served as the Executive Director of the Ignatian Spirituality Center in Seattle for three years. Matt currently directs retreats for Catholic school personnel groups and works as a consultant for schools in the area of staff development and retention. When not leading retreats, Matt enjoys cooking, swimming, hot yoga, and spending time with his family – especially his first grandchild, Wes!
